Custom Gunite Pools for Groveland Homes

Groveland has changed more in the last decade than in the century before it. The old citrus and railroad town along SR 50 now has new neighborhoods spreading out toward Clermont, while the downtown area keeps the small-town feel. Whether you have just moved into a new home or have been on your lot for years, a backyard pool is one of the best ways to make a Lake County summer livable.

Blue Dream Pools has designed and built custom gunite pools since 2004 from our showroom in downtown Winter Garden. We are a Florida certified pool and spa contractor, license CPC1460083. Call (407) 905-2704.

Designing for Groveland's Lots and Land

Many Groveland homes sit on newer lots where the practical limits are setbacks, easements and how much of the lot can be covered with hard surfaces. The city asks for an impervious-surface calculation with every pool permit, so we design the pool and deck to fit that number from the start instead of trimming the deck later.

The area's sandy soils are well suited to gunite, but lots near wetlands and lakes can have a high seasonal water table. We review the survey, plan for groundwater where needed and design deck drainage to move water away from the house during the heavy afternoon storms that roll through from June to September.

Pool Ideas for Groveland Backyards

Families in Groveland's newer neighborhoods often ask for a long sun shelf, a spa that spills into the pool and a screen enclosure that keeps leaves and bugs out. On larger and older lots there is room for more: a freeform pool around existing trees, a fire feature at the deck edge or an outdoor kitchen next to the spa. Light-colored pavers and stone stay cooler on bare feet in July. We sketch options at the first meeting and refine them in detailed design so you can see exactly how the yard will come together.
